A circle of light and an anagram for our last greeting for 2021.
We were reflecting on our year. As we worked our way through 2021, we were surprised to discover that this year held more JOY than we realised. It confirmed how thankful we are for the women in our lives. The stories shared through Womxn Connect this year have affirmed our belief in women's resilience which arises from our capacity to support each other, be vulnerable and open our hearts.
We're taking time out over the summer break.

Karleen Gwinner gave me the opportunity to be an Artist in Residence at Hand Bent Banana Art and Health Centre. This video was taken on the last day as I was installing Halo. It was difficult to install on my own and I was feeling hot, frustrated and weary - about to give up. This monarch butterfly arrived, fluttering its wings so close to my face that I could hear them. I felt this moment as a perfect blend of nature and art.
